CARRYING ON

Neymar has scored the fourth fastest hat trick in Champions League history as Barcelona rampaged past Celtic 6-1 on Wednesday.

The Brazilian, 21, scored his first goal in the continental competition on 44 minutes, which was the third for Gerardo Martino's men of the night after Gerard Pique and Pedro opened the goal glut at Camp Nou.

After halftime, the ex-Santos star scored in the 48th and 58th minutes to become the fourth-fastest player to rack up three goals in a Champions League tie.

"I'm very happy not only for the three goals in the Champions League, but also for the team's win," he is quoted by Marca as saying.

"I did not feel the pressure, but I wanted to make my mark. The important thing is we were able to overcome those two losses and now we must change our mindset to think about La Liga. "

Batefimbi Gomis still holds the quickest trio of goals having netted thrice in eight minutes as Olympique Lyonnais beat Dinamo Zagreb two seasons ago in the group stage.

Barca's comfortable victory in Catalunya sees the club top Group H in the tournament ahead of Monday's last 16 draw.
